Vacacional is the budget Caser travel plan, optimised for trips within Spain, Portugal and short European holidays. Medical cover up to €50,000 in Europe, baggage up to €1,000, civil liability up to €30,000, unlimited repatriation. Trip cancellation is optional (€1,500). Best for one-off short trips and budget-conscious travellers. For longer trips, destinations outside Europe, or anyone with pre-existing conditions, look at Integral or Prestige.
Frequently asked questions
Is Vacacional enough for a trip to Italy or Portugal?
Yes - for short trips within Europe (especially Spain/Portugal), the €50k medical limit covers most realistic scenarios. For longer trips, frequent travel, or destinations outside Europe, look at Integral (€200k) or Prestige (€650k).
Does it include trip cancellation?
Not as standard - it's an optional add-on (€1,500 cover). If trip cancellation matters, Prestige includes it as standard (€6,000).
Are pre-existing conditions covered?
No - pre-existing condition deterioration is only included on the Prestige plan (€15,000 limit). Vacacional and Integral do not cover pre-existing condition flare-ups.
What about flight delays?
€200 cover for flight delay expenses. Plus €300-€400 for missed connections, €500 for public transport delays.
Can I extend the cover for sports?
Most adventure and high-risk sports (skiing, diving below recreational depths, mountaineering) need a specific sports add-on. Confirm at quote.
