Which home insurance is right for me?

Tenant or low-contents home -> Esencial. Owner of mid-value property (€200k-€500k) -> Integral (most-bought). High-value property, villa, PPP-classified dog -> Prestigio. Property rented on Airbnb or empty most of the year -> Holiday Home.

Can I cover my Airbnb on a standard home policy?

No -- standard home policies (Esencial, Integral, Prestigio) explicitly exclude commercial use including short-term rental. If you rent on Airbnb or Booking, you need our Holiday Home product to keep cover valid.

How fast does cover start?

Same day -- once the policy is issued and first month's payment received.

What about loss of rental income on Airbnb?

Not currently included as standard. We can sometimes negotiate enhanced terms for established short-term rental businesses -- ask us.

Do you cover the Canary and Balearic Islands?

Yes -- full Spain including mainland, Canary Islands and Balearic Islands.

What information do you need for a home quote?

Building reconstruction value (NOT market value -- we'll help you estimate), contents value, postcode, primary or holiday residence, any high-value items to declare separately, and any PPP dog breeds in the household.

What's the difference between Esencial, Integral and Prestigio?

Esencial uses named-perils cover (only specifically listed events -- fire, water, theft, glass, food spoilage). Integral upgrades to all-risks material damage and adds garage vehicles. Prestigio adds personal accident, electrical damage, dangerous-dog (PPP) liability, comprehensive legal defence and digital help services.

What's the anti-squatter sensor?

A small sensor (Holiday Home product only) that detects door intrusion at your unoccupied property and sends an instant alert. If it triggers, the policy includes legal advice and defence cover for the squatting situation. No installation needed -- no cables, no internet, runs on battery.

Why insure for rebuild value, not market value?

Market value includes the land; rebuild value is just what it would cost to physically reconstruct the building. Insuring for market value means over-paying premiums on land you can't lose. Insuring for too little rebuild value means a partial-loss claim could be reduced proportionally. We help you estimate at quote.

What if my community already has buildings insurance?

Community insurance (seguro de comunidad) typically covers shared areas and the building's exterior structure. However, it usually does NOT cover your apartment's interior, your contents, or your personal liability. You still need your own Caser policy to fill these gaps.

What payment options are available?

Annual, half-yearly, quarterly or monthly -- no surcharges for spreading payments. Tell us your preference at quote.
